I was encouraged at the Vkids Christmas party when one of the parents whom I had never had a conversation with came very deliberately to find me and ask me which church had organised the event. The parent went on to talk very openly about their own upbringing and experience of church. It was as if they were glad to have an opportunity to discuss such things. It was a really positive encounter which left the door open for further invites/conversations. At the end they said "thanks for inviting us" and I felt they really meant it.
There are people out there just waiting to be invited to things we do as a church. Who is that person for you?
