A Day in the Life of an Intern
I’ve been interning at the church since Nov 2010 for two days per week for the most part. The rest of the time I work at a Museum in the Learning department. The first thing I would say about a day in the life of an Intern is that there is no typical day in the life of an Intern.
I’ve turned my hand to various tasks over the passed nine months. I’ve done some demographic research about the Falkirk area, written a few talks, done a lot of serving on Kids teams, looked for offices, helped run groups, helped reshape the welcome and setup teams, gone to conferences, helped out with different bits and bobs, done some Bible study and lead services.
And learned a tonne!!!
Working, as Max and I are, for free, David and Lis have been very keen that we gain a lot of good experience along the way. I had the privilege of going along to the National leaders conference in Nottingham, at Trent Vineyard, earlier in the year. What a mind blowing experience that was! It is so cool to see that God is doing the same things across the country in lots of different cities and towns through the Vineyard movement. I’ve learned so much about leadership and perseverance from both David and Lis and been challenged to grow in my faith and obedience to God. Two attributes they have in abundance.
So thank you Almond Vineyard – it’s been a great year so far!
