The first month in the new Almond Vineyard office!

On Wednesday 20th July we officially moved into our new office at 9 Pilrig Street, Leith! Lis Hart, Laura Blake and I had spent the previous week giving the new room a much needed lick of fresh paint so it was all clean and ready to move all our stuff in. The move was highly successful and a lot of fun! With Max Edgar driving the van, Andrew Russell, David Hart and Laura Blake helping transport all our stuff up the two flights of stairs and me telling everyone where to put everything! It all got moved in very quickly thanks to our budding volunteers! From that day on I have been   organising and making the office into a positive, relaxing, well organised, working environment. This isn't hard to do as the building itself, owned by Edinburgh City Mission, is incredibly welcoming and filled with God’s presence.

Our new office space is larger than the old one so we are now able to have 3 desks, one of which is mine and two of which are shared throughout the week by David and Lis, Conor and Max (interns) and in the near future, Phil Merriweather. We also have a wee seating area with comfy chairs donated to us from folks at the Almond Vineyard. We have access to a shared kitchen and  a bathroom  and are able to book the use of other larger meeting rooms. We also, much to my delight, have a storeroom next to our office which is perfect for our growing church!

To top it all off, it takes me 9 minutes to walk to the office from my flat, including the stairs!

Please feel free to come and check out our new place!

You should have told them about the special cups that don't need coasters.
