At our home group last week before our worship time myself and one other person were needing prayer for healing, (he had stiff neck and I had an injured ankle), so we created two groups so that we could both be prayed for at the same time. As we started one of the children wandered in so we called them over to join in. They weren’t slow in coming forward with their prayer for me "Thank you God for Lorraine for being a loving wife and a great mum and heal her ankle in Jesus name. Amen”. I was blessed, (not healed), but blessed by that prayer. As soon as they had said “Amen!” their focus shifted by asking “OK, who else needs prayer?” Without any hesitation they went over to the other gentleman with the stiff neck and prayed for him and his neck was healed there and then.
It was as natural and genuine an encounter as you could ever hope to find. A bunch of families gathering together to encourage one another in their faith and bang – Jesus shows up with healing power before we’ve started properly. Fabulous!

I like this alot Lorraine because it paints a great picture. Imagine if this kind of activity were to spill out on to the streets and into the homes and lives of your neighbours. Oh but wait... that's beginning to happen. God is good isn't he?
He is! And what a lesson learned that night.
