My husband has worked in a Pub/restaurant as the chef for a year and a half. He works 50-60 hours a week and works very long days. Because he works 6 days a week and usually doesn’t get home till after 9:30, he’s been feeling really undervalued, unappreciated and tired, especially since we’re just in our second year of marriage and he’s not earning much money. Some friends prayed with me at church because I was worried about him being unhappy, and one thing that we prayed for was some sort of gesture which would make him feel more appreciated at work.
He has been saving up for new golf clubs for a couple of years and he finally ordered them a few weeks ago. When the clubs arrived, they came with a brand new, top of the range motorised golf trolley, which I knew he hadn’t ordered (at least I hoped he hadn’t, it was very expensive!) The delivery man told us it had been bought by my husband’s boss as a thank you for all the hard work he’d done and the long hours he works. He was like a different man after that! He’s golfed every second he’s had since then, which is more often since they’ve also given him an extra half day off each week and he feels so much more positive about the work situation, much more valued and much happier in himself. It was a real answer to prayer!

Wow, that's a great story! God is good in so many ways, and is so creative it's (almost) unbelievable! I hope he gets some good weather!!
I love this story Katie because in the midst of being busy and running the universe it reminds me that God is attentive to the "small" stuff. Do you what I mean? The bits and pieces of life that all of us think we shouldn't,(possibly can't), bother God with and yet this story clearly demonstrates that he's interested, concerned and able to deal with any issue in our lives not because of the issue but because of his love for me. Wow! I can surrender and follow a God like that.
PS: At the rate your hubby is going I would expect him to be playing off scratch soon
